Day 1: Reach Kathmandu- Depending on the time of arrival you can visit the World Heritage sites of Pashupatinath temple, Boddhanath Stupa (One of the world’s largest), Durbar Square or relax at our backpacker’s hostel in Thamel. Briefing in the evening.
Day 2: Early morning flight to Pokhra. You have a lot of options to spend your day in Pokhra. Adventure activities like Zip Flier, paragliding, Ultra-Light, river rafting or mountain biking. You can also choose to take a walk and explore the breathtakingly beautiful town of Pokhra. Overnight stay in backpackers hostel on the edge of the Phewa lake.
Day 3: Drive from Pokhra to Maday (4 hours), Trek from Maday to Chhomrong (2,170m) – (5-6 hours, 9 km). The trail passes through sub-tropical forests mostly of Rhododendron, fern and bamboo. Chhomrong provides some of the best views of the southern Annapurna and is lined with tea-houses. Overnight stay at a tea-house in Chhomrong.
Day 4: Chhomrong to Dovan (2,579m). 6-7 hours trek, 10.5 km. The trek takes you through some of the most beautiful Oak, Rhododendron and Bamboo forests. You start with a slight descent and pass through Sinuwa and Bamboo Villages on the way. The cobbled stone path to Bamboo village is a beauty in itself. Dovan is a small but scenic village with very few tea-houses. Overnight stay at Dovan
Day 5: Dovan to Machhapuchare Base Camp (3,699m). 6-7 hours, 10 km. The vegetation starts to change to alpine. The trail takes you through the villages of Himalaya and Deorali. The mighty Modi Khola is music to the ears of the exhausted trekkers. This will be slow and rigorous trek through snow bridges and Daphne trees. Overnight stay at Machhapuchare Base Camp.
Day 6: Machhapuchare Base camp to Annapurna Base Camp (4,130m). 2 hours, 3.5 km. The terrain will be alpine. Steep climb to ABC with breath-taking views of Annapurna I, Annapurna III and Annapurna South, Gangapurna and Gandharvachuli. Overnight stay at tea house at ABC.
Day 7: ABC to Bamboo (2,339m). 8-9 hours. 16 km. Long descent taking the same trail which passes through Deorali, Dovan and Himalaya. Overnight stay at Bamboo.
Day 8: Bamboo to Jhinu (1,759m). 6-7 hours. 10 km. The best part of the days trek is the presence of Hot Springs at Jhinu. It is recommended that you take a bath in the spring and rejuvenate yourself. Overnight stay at Jhinu.
Day 9: Jhinu to Syauli Bazar (1,140m)- Drive to Pokhra. 4 hours trek, 6km, 3 hours drive to Pokhra. Descend through dense forests and terraced farms in the openings. Have a chilled out evening at Pokhra and soak up the culture of Nepali food and cuisine. Pokhra has some of the best Cafes and bars in Nepal. Overnight stay at backpackers hostel.
Day 10: Early Morning flight from Pokhra to Kathmandu. Fly out to India from Kathmandu in the afternoon.
